Are Vols creeping up with Stokes?
North Augusta, S.C. -- The annual NIKE Peach Jam typically features both an absolute overload of the top high school talent in the nation as well as who's who list of college coaches crowding around the court to observe that talent in action. This week's event has been no exception, and few prospects are drawing more eyes than Memphis forward Jarnell Stokes.
The top prospect in the state and one of the top overall players in the country in the 2012 class, Stokes (6-foot-7, 230 pounds) also happens to be a 'swing for the fence' type target in Cuonzo Martin's first full-fledged attempt at recruiting Memphis talent.
Martin and the Vols are in the unenviable position of having to make up ground, having just come onto the scene three months ago in a recruiting battle that really began in Stokes' freshman season.
