Mullen talking Kentucky
Mississippi State has had some close conference losses during the first half of the season and are currently 0-4 in Southeastern Conference play.
The Bulldogs have an opportunity to add their first league victory this weekend against another team that is winless in SEC, on the road at Kentucky.
The Wildcats are coming off a 38-14 beat down of Jacksonville State last week improving to 3-4 overall on the year. MSU has the same identical overall mark and enter the game with two weeks to prepare due to a bye week.
"Coming off the bye week we got the opportunity to get some guys some rest this week and get healthy," said Bulldog head coach Dan Mullen. "What we can't do is miss a beat coming off of that bye week. We have to get right back into a game routine and execution. We can't have any sloppiness which sometimes happens coming off a bye week. That's going to be huge for us for this season and can really jump start the second half of our season."
Even though State has had extra time to prepare for the Wildcats they have not spent the entire two weeks game planning for Saturday. The first part of their bye week was spent focusing on themselves.
