New coaches give Hogs new options

Arkansas head coach Bret Bielema is off to a very good start in forming an elite staff in Fayetteville.

On Tuesday Arkansas announced former Wisconsin co-defensive coordinator as new defensive coordinator of the Hogs. Late Wednesday evening, news broke that former Tennessee offensive coordinator Jim Chaney would be taking the same title under Bielema. Volquest.com then reported that former UT offensive line coach Sam Pittman was also headed to The Hill, but there hasn't been an 'official' announcement from Arkansas' side just yet.

The one thing most fans want to know about these additions is how they will impact Arkansas' recruiting efforts. The Razorbacks' Class of 2013 is up to 18 commitments after safety Tiquention Coleman's decision to flip from Wisconsin on Wednesday, and the Hogs still have plenty of time for a strong finish between now and National Signing Day. (Granted, a few of the current commits may not be on Arkansas' list when the dust settles, but only time will tell what happens with those few.)
