Little Big Man
Fullback Kiero Small was Bret Bielema's MVP Saturday in the 34-14 win over Louisiana-Monroe after catching three passes for 25 yards and a touchdown, rushing four times for seven yards and delivering several key blocks for the other 285 Razorback rushing yards in 51 plays of action.
"Two years ago I was 260-something, now I'm 240," Small said. "Going 51 plays at 268 would have been tougher than going at 240. I think my offseason training with Coach Herb[ert] helped me being able to go that many times."
Fifty-one is significant because Small never played that much in the last offensive system. The previous staff recognized his talent and leadership but the offense did not call for a fullback more than what was said to be 15 percent of the time. As a result, last year before...
