Meridian RBs conquer ACT
The future of Ole Miss' running game got a little more secure this week. The running back tandem of Derrick Davis and Cordera Eason, both of Meridian High School, got good news this week regarding qualification.
Both backs received their letters from the NCAA clearing them to play for Ole Miss this fall.
Davis, who sat out this year with a torn ACL, says he's ready for the chance to get back on the field.
"Everything is good. I am graduating on May 22. I am excited about it," Davis said. "I am good to go, I got my clearance letter. I got a 24 on my ACT."
The big question for Davis is the health of his knee. It was last spring when Davis went down with a torn ACL. Now exactly one year after surgery to repair torn ligaments Davis is ready to go back to work.
