Shula, Tide trying to think positive
Like a cheap tequila hangover, Alabama's latest loss sent Crimson Tide fans into a three-day (and counting), stomach-turning funk. Unlike the days following setbacks at Arkansas and Florida earlier in the season, the nauseating feeling brought on by Saturday's loss at Tennessee hasn't given way to optimism.
Instead, patience has given way to anger.
So much for 7-5 serving as the bar for this team. Narrow defeats in a conference devoid of great teams, has the faithful feeling less than satisfied. And wins over Florida International and Mississippi State in the next two weeks will do little to appease the fan base.
