Gibbs gaining momentum

BadgerBlitz.com The past two days have been a whirlwind for Class of 2008 Rivals150 guard Grant Gibbs after receiving consecutive scholarship offers from a pair of Big Ten rivals.
On Monday, new Iowa head coach Todd Lickliter gave Gibbs his fifth offer while Wisconsin head coach Bo Ryan followed suit Tuesday, bringing the 6-foot-5, 190-pounder's offer total to six. His other offers are from Iowa State, Penn State, Indiana State and Northern Iowa.
Recruiting Gibbs for the Badgers is assistant Gary Close, who knows the hoops landscape at Linn-Mar High School in Marion, Iowa, very well. During the 2006 recruiting cycle, Close plucked four-star guard Jason Bohannon, who will be a sophomore on the Badgers' roster this season, out of Linn-Mar.
