Perhaps no program's expectations have changed more recently than Mark Turgeon's at Texas A&M. In this week's mailbag Andrew Skwara looks at why the Aggies were left out of Rivals.com's preseason Top 25. Questions about Stanford's ability to replace the Lopez twins, the NBA Draft and more are also...[details]
Strengths: Jones has a nice perimeter shooting stroke and can make the turnaround jumper from the post as well. He also can make a hook shot with his right hand on the low block. The arsenal of offensive skills makes him valuable on the pick-and-roll, and he shoots an excellent percentage at the free-throw line.
Weaknesses: Jones is often criticized for a lack of effort on the court, and he often disappears for long stretches during games. His lack of effort can be noted when it comes to rebounding, where he frequently loses out on inside position. Defensive positioning will also need to improve for Jones.
Outlook: Jones didn't exactly blow people away with his performance at Texas A&M this year, and will likely pull his name out of the draft by the deadline.
