The spring signing period began on Wednesday and the respective additions of Shabazz Muhammad and Nerlens Noel to UCLA and Kentucky allow the Bruins and Wildcats to make big moves in the updated team rankings.
By adding the nation's No. 2-ranked player in Noel, John Calipari and his staff made the jump from No. 3 and find themselves in a very familiar position atop the team rankings. Meanwhile, Muhammad's decision to attend school in Westwood catapults UCLA's class from just outside the top ten at No. 11 all the way up to No. 3.
Of the remaining 18 players in the Rivals150 who have yet to commit, five-stars Anthony Bennett andDevonta Pollard along with high four-stars Tony Parker and Amile Jefferson have the most ability to shuffle the final team rankings.
From a conference standpoint, the ACC has the honors for most teams in the top 30 recruiting classes with six. The Big East and the Big Ten each have five teams included in the ranking while the Big 12 and Pac 12 each place four teams on the list. Conference USA lands a pair of teams in the rankings while the SEC, A-10, Big West and Mountain West each place one team in the updated team rankings.
