2009 (Senior): As the spring went on, Davis developed into more of a leader according to the coaching staff. He has played in 35 career games and enters the fall listed as the starter at strong side linebacker. He had five tackles for the Red team and a fumble recovery in the 2009 spring game. He led the team in tackles in the third scrimmage of the spring with nine stops and a tackle for a loss. He was able to go through the entire spring for the first time under the current coaching staff after missing drills in 2008 (ACL surgery in the off-season).

2008 (Junior): Davis played in nine games and started seven (Florida, Auburn, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Tulsa, South Carolina, Mississippi State). He was sixth on the team in tackles with 51. He also had a forced fumble and an interception. He had a good outing at Texas with seven tackles followed by his best game of the season against Florida in which he recorded 12 stops (seven solo, five assisted). He had four tackles and an interception in the win over Auburn and six tackles and a forced fumble at Kentucky. He recorded nine tackles against Ole Miss and Tulsa and had his first tackle for a loss in the game against the Golden Hurricane.

2007 (Sophomore): Davis played in all 13 games with one start (Tennessee) and had 39 tackles with 26 solo stops and 17 special teams’ tackles, which ranked third on the team. Davis made at least one tackle in 12 of 13 games. His tackle total ranked 13th on the team. – He made five tackles on special teams against Troy in the season opener. Davis did not see time at linebacker as the Hogs spent most of the game in nickel and dime defensive packages. He saw his first defensive snaps of the season at Alabama with one assisted tackle in three snaps. Davis made one tackle in 14 defensive snaps vs. Kentucky. He was efficient with his playing time against North Texas as he logged three tackles on four defensive snaps while making one special teams tackle. Davis made two more solo special teams tackles, but also logged three tackles from his reserve middle linebacker spot with the first TFL (-1) of his career against Chattanooga. He made two stops at linebacker in just four plays, including a solo stop, against Auburn. Davis was named the Hogwired.com Special Teams Player of the Week for his efforts at Ole Miss where he made four special teams tackles, including three solo stops. He also played six snaps at middle linebacker for the Hogs. Davis seemed to be everywhere on his 12 defensive snaps at middle linebacker vs. Florida International. He made seven tackles in those 12 snaps with four solo stops. He also had a special teams tackle and finished with a career-high eight tackles, five solo. Davis played on special teams but did not record any statistics against South Carolina. He made six total tackles, three solo, in his first career start at Tennessee. He got the starting nod at will linebacker vs. the Vols and also broke up a pass. Davis made two solo special teams tackles against Mississippi State and played one snap at mike linebacker. Davis saw action on both special teams and as a backup mike linebacker at LSU, but did not record any statistics. He had one solo tackle against Missouri in the Cotton Bowl.

2006 (Freshman): Davis played extensively as a true freshman backing up Weston Dacus at mike linebacker and manning a spot on the UA special teams. He appeared in all 14 games for the Razorbacks in his rookie season and earned a spot on the SEC Coaches Freshman All-SEC squad. He led all UA freshmen with 20 tackles, including 10 solo stops. He earned at least one tackle in 11 games and posted multiple-tackle outings in five contests. He registered two tackles for loss (-7), two quarterback hurries and one pass deflection on the season. Eight of his 20 tackles came on special teams, a total that ranked tied for second on the squad. – Davis played only four snaps on defense in his collegiate debut against Southern California, but still managed to register a solo tackle. He also started on the kickoff cover team and recorded a solo tackle. He followed that up with a solo stop and two assists in 10 plays against Utah State. His only action at Vanderbilt was on special teams where he recorded one solo tackle. Davis made two tackles - one assisted - in the Hogs’ 24-23 double-overtime win against No. 22 Alabama. He played just six snaps at Auburn, but recorded a tackle for loss (-2), made a solo stop and three assisted tackles on special teams for a career-high four tackles. Davis made three total tackles, including one on special teams, vs. Southeast Missouri State. He also recorded his second TFL (-5) of the season while breaking up a pass and recording a quarterback hurry. Davis earned the most-extensive playing time of his young career against Ole Miss when starting linebacker Sam Olajubutu was injured. He saw action on 40 plays, making a solo tackle and registering a quarterback hurry. Davis played just four snaps on defense, making one assisted tackle against Louisiana-Monroe. Davis made one special teams tackle at South Carolina. He saw limited action on the defensive side of the ball against Tennessee and made one solo tackle on special teams. Davis notched another special teams tackle at Mississippi State. He played but did not record any statistics vs. LSU or against Florida in the SEC Championship Game. He also logged time against Wisconsin in the Capital One Bowl, but didn’t make a tackle.

Personal: Born Aug. 16, 1988, he is the son of Felicia Mayberry. He is a close friend of Sweeny native and current Razorback defensive back Shedrick Johnson. Davis is enrolled in Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences and is majoring in sociology. High School: He prepped for Coach Tommy Zajicek at Sweeny and helped lead his squad to the playoffs for the first time in five years. He earned all-state, all-district and all-county honors for the Bulldogs in his junior season. Rivals.com ranked him as the No. 43 linebacker in the nation and the No. 34 linebacker in Texas. The same outlet ranked him as the No. 74 overall prospect in Texas. The Dallas Morning News ranked him as the No. 87 prospect in the state. He selected Arkansas over Arizona, Houston, Oklahoma State, SMU, UTEP and Tulsa.
