Cavaliers reel in one of nation's top QBs

Virginia played its annual Spring Game on Saturday and a large number of high-profile recruits were on hand. The coaching staff felt good about the turnout, and its satisfaction level took a huge jump when standout J'Courtney Williams made a verbal commitment to the Cavaliers on Saturday.


Well, it didn't take long for UVa strike again, as another pledge came this afternoon, and it ranks as a significant recruiting victory for the program.


Peter Lalich, the standout quarterback from West Springfield High School, made it official this afternoon, informing the Virginia staff that he was committing to the Cavaliers.


"I just got off the phone with Al Groh. I called him and told him I wanted to be a Cavalier. He was very happy and so am I. I feel great and Coach Groh said the offense will be in good hands with me. That is a big responsibility but I am looking forward to it."
