Cats making late push with Arkansas forward

As it turns out, Kentucky's search for frontcourt help in the Class of 2007 is not a one-man list headlined by Patrick Patterson.

The Wildcats continue to make a strong push for the five-star West Virginia power forward, but new UK coach Billy Gillispie has identified another big man he'd like to bring to Lexington.

Michael Sanchez, a 6-foot-8, 225-pound combo forward from Springdale (Ark.) Har-Ber High school, picked up a scholarship offer from the Cats after the new staff got an opportunity to watch him play in the Real Deal on The Hill AAU tournament.

It appears Sanchez has bounced back strong from the injury and may be poised to re-establish himself as an elite prospect based on the kind of feedback he has been receiving this spring. In addition to Kentucky, Arkansas, Wake Forest, New Mexico and New Mexico State have inquired about his recruitment.
