Spring review: Defensive backs

As we reach the final every down position on the field (special teams will come tomorrow), we are ready to take a look at both the deepest position and the biggest question mark on the Tiger roster coming out of spring ball. The defensive backfield has both depth and question marks.

The Starters: Perhaps the most secure starter on the team is Darnell Terrell. There is not one possible imaginable scenario where Terrell loses his starting spot. But who starts at the other corner? For now, it is Hardy Ricks. Ricks did not exactly take control of the job at cornerback this spring, but he wasn't bad either. At safety, it is the opposite situation. The Tigers have a ton of depth, probably more than anywhere outside of wide receiver. William Moore and Cornelius Brown are in line to be the starters. Both played well this spring and did nothing to hurt their status.
