Slauson's status for season opener in question

The Nebraska football team has been relatively fortunate with injuries this August, but on Friday the Huskers learned they could be without the services of one of their top players for their Sept. 1 season opener against Nevada.

Junior pre-season All-Big 12 offensive lineman Matt Slauson suffered a shoulder injury on Friday morning that NU offensive line coach Dennis Wagner said is going to keep him on the shelf for at least seven to 14 days.
