Derrick Hill is proud to be a Bear

As he waited patiently for his turn on the podium, Oakland (Calif.) McClymonds high school defensive tackle Derrick Hill gazed across the table and shot a look at his mentor, Anthony McNeal, almost as if to say, "We finally did it". When it was Hill's turn to speak in front of the hundreds of friends and family gathered in the Warriors gym for Mack's signing day event this afternoon, the 6-foot-1, 278-pound All-American held the microphone in his hand, paused for a moment, gave a huge smile, and then said, "I'm so proud right now." BearTerritory's Chris Nguon was there to cover the story.
