Hargrove anxious for Pitt

It's been a long time coming for Baldwin senior Justin Hargrove. Hargrove, a 6-4, 250-pound defensive end, committed to Pitt last June but hasn't played a full season of football since 2004, his sophomore year. His junior and senior seasons consisted of just two games each so it's not hard to understand why, as he nears graduation from Baldwin, Hargrove is eagerly anticipating his arrival at Pitt.

"I just want to play," Hargrove told the Pantherlair recently. "I played four games in the last two seasons so I'm really excited to get to Pitt."

Hargrove was at Pitt earlier this week when he attended the Panthers' practice on Thursday and the team's Spring Game on Saturday with Baldwin teammate/Pitt commit Jason Pinkston. Hargrove was at Pitt's home games last season, and he says that the 2006 Panthers, from what he saw in spring camp, should be much better than 5-6.

"I think they're doing pretty good, especially the defense," Hargrove said.
