Sooners head into the heart of the SEC

In the past few years few areas outside of Oklahoma's Big 12 recruiting region have been more fruitful for Oklahoma than the Atlanta area. In the class of 2003 the Sooners earned a signature from Tashard Choice of Lovejoy, Ga., in 2005 the Sooners landed Duke Robinson from Booker T. Washington, Ellenwood, Ga. produced Joshua Jarboe for Oklahoma's class of 2008 and finally in 2009 the Sooners grabbed Cameron Kenney who originally hailed from the South's unofficial capital.

Recent offers in the class of 2010 show hopes of continuing that trend with three offers going out to Decatur (Ga.) Southwest Dekalb stars Kendrun Malcome, Jonathon Mincy and T.J. Stripling.

The most recent of the trio was Dekalb's four-star cornerback Mincy.

"Actually the coach had come by last week and he had kind of told me that when he got back to Oklahoma after the tape got processed I would have an offer," Mincy said. "So when I got it I had been looking forward to it and I was really thankful."
