Alpharetta receiver commits

Georgia picked up its third verbal commitment in as many days Tuesday morning when Alpharetta receiver Michael Bennett announced he will sign with the Bulldogs.

Bennett joins Calhoun receiver Da'Rick Rogers who committed last week and Brent Benedict, an offensive tackle from The Bolles School in Jacksonville, who said yes to the Bulldogs on Monday.

Bennett committed to Georgia after receiving an offer during last week's Mark Richt Camp in Athens.

"It was pretty crazy how it went down. He was talking to me and my dad first saying that I was really high on their radar but they weren't ready to pull the trigger right away. He said he had to talk to the wide receiver coach, Coach Ball first. He went to talk to the wide receiver coach and came back 30 seconds later and said they were offering."

Bennett had asked that his commitment be announced at 10 a.m.

More info will be coming shortly.
