Tide still involved with DE?

When Alabama offered a scholarship to Hialeah (FL) defensive end Corey Lemonier earlier this year, the Crimson Tide were immediately among the top contenders for the four-star prospect's signature. But as the summer has gone on and classes are beginning to fill up, is the 6-foot-4, 235-pounder still involved with the Tide?

"I really haven't heard a lot from Alabama since the spring. I was talking to Coach (Bobby) Williams a lot back in the spring but I'm not hearing from them as much now."

"If Alabama wanted me, I'd definitely be interested. It's my dream to play in the SEC. The level of competition, the talent, the exposure. I'd most definitely give Alabama a good chance if they showed interest."

Lemonier, who also holds offers from Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Miami and Notre Dame among others, said that he plans on attending at least one camp before the end of the summer in hopes of improving his skills heading into his senior season.

"I'm planning to go to the Down & Dirty Lineman Camp in Leland, Florida later this summer. I went there last year and it was really a great experience. Auburn is still talking to me and trying to get me to come to their camp. I'm not sure if I'm going to make it or not but it's good to know Auburn is interested in me."

The nation's No. 7 weakside defensive end said he considers himself to be very early on in the recruiting process and plans on taking his time with his final decision.

"I'm going to take all my visits for sure, and some of them may come after the season is over. I am probably going to wait until late to commit somewhere. I'm not in any hurry to make a decision right now."

As a junior, Lemonier registered 50 tackles and 10 sacks at defensive end.
