Bruin target remains open
Rivals.com four-star defensive tackle Calvin Barnett will have very little free time from now until his senior season starts. He is either going to summer classes, studying for school or working at a part-time job. Of course, that doesn't include the time to eat and sleep. How has all of this affected his recruiting activity?
"I open them (letters from schools) up and look at them and set them aside," Barnett said about reading any correspondence. "I have so many letters
I think it is nine offers now, more or less."
On the West Coast he does have an offer now from the UCLA Bruins, but with the lack of time, it has made it difficult for him to call one of their coaches.
"I like UCLA. It is on that side (of the country) and growing up I always wanted to grow up out there." said Barnett, who is ranked as the No. 10 defensive tackle in the nation by Rivals.com. "When they offered me, I figured I had a chance of getting out there without having my own career and stuff. I could just go to school out there and have some fun.
