Four-star WR talks UA camp

Four-star wide receiver Antonio Goodwin has been taking things slow when it comes to recruiting so far with campus visits coming few and far between. But the Alabama Crimson Tide were lucky enough to get Goodwin on campus recently for their 7-on-7 camp and the experience seemed to be a positive for the Atlanta star.

"I went to the 7-on-7 camp at Alabama with my teammates and we had a great time," said Goodwin, 6-foot-2, 170 pounds. "It was a really good learning experience and we got to meet some of the coaches as well."

While Goodwin maintains that everyone is equal at this point in the process, he did mention that he has a preference when it comes to the style of offense he would like to play in.

"Ideally, I would love to play in a spread or pro-style offense. I want to be a part of an offense that really uses me as a weapon because I feel like I can be that."

Goodwin, who is rated the nation's No. 37 wide receiver, is remaining quiet on the recruiting front and said he won't likely make any decisions about narrowing his list or making a final choice until after the season has ended.

"I don't have a top ten or really any favorites at this point. I'm staying open to all possibilities until after the season is over."

"I'm really not going to be taking any more visits until my official visits this fall. Until then I'm just going to be working out with my team and getting ready for the season."

One encouraging note for Alabama, as well as many other schools recruiting Goodwin, is that he doesn't have a particular interest in staying close to home.

"Leaving the state won't be a factor for me. I'm interested in the in-state schools but I'm also interested in a lot of schools out of the state too and leaving Georgia won't affect how I feel about a school."
