Three-star RB keeping busy

Like many of the state's top players this summer has been a busy one for Perry Central (Miss.) three-star running back Nick Griffin.

The 6-foot, 196-pounder has made a couple of camp appearances at both Mississippi State and Southern Miss but his daily routine is enough to keep his slate full.

"I've been at my job all summer working at the school," Griffin said. "After I get off work I go lift weights and then go to 7-on-7 practice. It's been a busy summer. I haven't had a vacation, no break or anything."

Griffin made two camps at MSU this summer including the Big Dawgs Camp this past Friday. The camp gave him an opportunity to get to know the new coaching staff in Starkville even better.

"They are real friendly people and I like them," Griffin said of the Bulldogs staff. "They will be real with you and that's why I like them."

Griffin is believes he can fit into Dan Mullen's spread offensive attack because of it's similarity of what he runs at Perry Central. He feels that the Bulldogs have what it takes to turn things around this season.
