Ohio TE enjoys trip

Bucyrus (OH) Wynford tight end Teven Eatmon received an offer from Syracuse a few weeks back and last weekend he made a trip to Syracuse. Eatmon was accompanied on his trip by teammate Tyler Brause who also holds a Syracuse offer. How did the prospect like the trip?

"It was actually a pretty good trip."

Eatmon, 6-foot-7, 280 pounds was very impressed by the Orange and a couple items really stuck out.

"What stuck out was that a lot of NFL players came out of that school. Watching The Express about Ernie Davis and Jim Brown it was pretty cool. The coaches were good especially Coach Drayton our recruiting coach. Any question we had they answered and were very helpful."

Getting into the weight room is big for Eatmon and on his visit to check out the Orange he enjoyed the facilities that Syracuse had. Not only the facilities, but the people in charge made an impression as well.

"The weight room, I really liked the weight room and I really liked the strength and conditioning coaches and the way they try and prepare the team to get ready on the field."

Stan Drayton has been recruiting Eatmon, so on the visit getting to know other coaches was important. The other coach that really made his mark was Doug Marrone.

"Coach Marrone the head coach I really like him and I like how he has things set up and how he makes the players earn things and not just giving things to them."

With a visit to Syracuse in the books did Syracuse jump out as a leader for Eatmon?

"The Orange are really high on my list, but I am still keeping everything open. There are really no top schools, but some places are poking out more than others. Like I said everything is still open, but Syracuse I did like them."

With the high school season right around the corner Eatmon does not plan to make any other visits this summer.

"Actually now I am done since we started two a days and everything. We are just going to take officials now."

On a side not Eatmon and Brause were supposes to visit Maryland last weekend, but did not make that trip.
