2021 Rivals Composite Baseball Poll - Final Rankings

Unlike its counterparts in football and basketball, college baseball does not have a universally accepted top 25 like the AP Poll. Instead, there are six major polls that schools and publications reference on various occasions, which can create confusion among fans.

To help with that, HawgBeat - the Arkansas site in the Rivals network - will create a single poll that combines the rankings by Baseball America, Collegiate Baseball, D1Baseball, Perfect Game, the NCBWA and the USA Today Coaches Poll.

Giving 25 points to the No. 1 team in each poll, 24 points to No. 2, all the way down to 1 point to No. 25, the teams with the 25 highest point totals are listed below, with the "receiving votes" section including each team that was in the top 25 of at least one poll but not within the highest 25.

The "high/low" column features each team's highest and lowest ranking of the week, while the "change" column indicates how much movement each team had from the preseason rankings.

~There are no surprises at the top of the final poll, as Mississippi State beat Vanderbilt in the College World Series to capture its first national title. Those teams were a unanimous 1-2 in the Composite Poll. Every top 25 also had Texas and North Carolina State in the 3-4 spots, with more favoring the Longhorns.

~Although the order varied, there was also a consensus top 10. Each of the College World Series participants are among the top eight, with Arkansas - which was the No. 1 overall seed, but fell in the super regional - tied with Arizona at No. 8.

~Florida, the unanimous preseason No. 1 team, failed to advance past its regional and barely remained in the final Composite Poll, checking in at No. 25. UCLA was No. 2 in the preseason and finished at No. 23.

~There were 10 total teams in the preseason Composite Poll that finished unranked, meaning there are 10 new teams in the final Composite. They are all listed below, but only two schools - Louisville and Miami (Fla.) - fell all the way out after being preseason top-10 teams. Likewise, only two schools - Stanford and Notre Dame - finished in the top 10 after beginning the year outside the top 25.

~Seven SEC teams - so half of the conference - are in the final Composite Poll of 2021. That leads all conferences, followed by the Pac-12 with four. The ACC, Big 12 and C-USA each have three teams in the final Composite Poll, while the American has two and the Big Ten, Big West and Missouri Valley each have one.
