The Arkansas Razorbacks (11-10, 2-6 SEC) will try to secure back-to-back wins in conference play for the first time this season when they take on the LSU Tigers (11-9, 3-4 SEC) on Saturday inside Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Arkansas picked up its first SEC road win on Wednesday with a 91-84 victory over Missouri. In the absence of Trevon Brazile (knee) and Devo Davis (stepped away), the Razorbacks have played well as a unit over the past week in the win over Mizzou and the loss to Kentucky at home last Saturday.
"This Razorback basketball team for the last 80 minutes of play has played really good basketball," head coach Eric Musselman said Wednesday after the Missouri game. "Tonight’s 40 minutes, we played very well against Kentucky. Lost the game, they got loose on some threes, and the last four minutes of that game not good tonight. But to go on the road and lead for 37 minutes is really, really hard to do."
The Hogs will have a slightly tougher task Saturday against LSU and second-year head coach Matt McMahon. While the Tigers have lost three straight, they do have conference wins at Texas A&M and at home against Vanderbilt and Ole Miss.
Senior guard Jordan Wright leads the Tigers with 15.7 points per game and they are a team that ranks 18th nationally in steals per game.
Saturday will be the 78th meeting between Arkansas and LSU and the 68th since the Razorbacks joined the SEC. Arkansas leads the all-time series, 42-35, and is 38-30 against the Tigers since joining the SEC. LSU leads the series in games played in Baton Rouge, 20-13, including a 19-12 advantage in SEC matchups. The teams split last year, each winning on their own court, but the Razorbacks have won five of the last seven.

HAWGBEAT'S PICK: Layden Blocker over 3.5 points and over 0.5 offensive rebounds (+115)
This pick is a little bit risky because Blocker has not been playing consistently, but if his performance at Missouri was any sign of what's to come, this could prop could hit against LSU.
Blocker earned the start and played nearly 29.5 minutes of Wednesday's victory at Missouri. The freshman out of Sunrise Christian Academy in Kansas recorded nine points and three offensive boards against the Tigers. That marked just his second conference game to score more than four points and it was his third total SEC game to score in.
LSU has an average defense (186th nationally in scoring defense) and it rebounds at nearly the same pace Arkansas does. If Blocker plays for 29 minutes again, this is about as good of a prop option as there is.
