Current Player: #30 Var'keyes Gumms

The Houston, Texas, native transferred to Arkansas after spending his first two seasons at North Texas. The former Mean Green tight-end caught 34 passes for 458 yards and five touchdowns. He earned Second Team Freshman All-American honors from The Athletic and College Football Network for his efforts.

Gumms has a strong shot to emerge as a starter for the Razorbacks and he could play a major role in an offense looking to highlight tight ends more in 2023.

Former Player: #30 Kevin Richardson II

A native out of Jacksonville, Arkansas, Richardson started 19 games out of 48 appearances in his collegiate career. After redshirting his freshman season, the 5-foot-11 defensive back posted eight tackles in 2014. During the 2015 season, Richardson finished seventh on the team in tackles with 44 and he also made an interception against Mississippi State.

Richardson sustained a season-ending injury in 2016 before being named a team captain in 2017 — the same year in which he totaled a career-best 50 tackles and tied for the team lead in interceptions (3). During his final season in Fayetteville, Richardson played 296 snaps and recorded 16 tackles.

2016: Arkansas 34 - Ole Miss 30

The No. 22 Razorbacks challenged the No. 12 Rebels in Fayetteville during the 2016 season.

Arkansas quarterback Austin Allen had an outstanding performance, as he completed 19 passes for 229 yards and three touchdowns. Running back Rawleigh Williams III added 180 yards on the ground.

Defensive back Josh Liddell and linebacker Brooks Ellis led the defense with nine tackles each, while cornerback Henre' Toliver added an interception.

After being all tied up at halftime, 20-20, the Razorbacks scored a touchdown in the third quarter to take a 27-20 lead. Following an Ole Miss field goal and touchdown, Arkansas' Jared Cornelius took a handoff six yards into the end zone to give the Hogs a 34-30 lead.

With 2:20 left in the game, Ole Miss quarterback Chad Kelly was tasked with leading his offense down the field to win the game. After an incompletion, a sack by Arkansas defensive lineman Jeremiah Ledbetter and an Ole Miss penalty, the Rebels were looking at 4th-and-16 from their own 20-yard line. Kelly scrambled for the first down, but Arkansas safety Santos Ramirez popped Kelly just short of the line to gain.

Arkansas kneeled it out and won 34-30.

2009: LSU 33 - Arkansas 30

In a thrilling overtime matchup, the Tigers defeated the Razorbacks, 33-30. In his first season as the Arkansas starter after transferring in from Michigan, quarterback Ryan Mallett completed just 17 of his 39 pass attempts for 227 yards, one touchdown and an interception.

LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson added 179 yards through the air with two touchdowns and Tigers' running back Trindon Holliday ran for 57 yards on nine attempts.

After only scratching across six points in the first half, the Razorbacks drove in 24 in the second to send the game to overtime. Following an LSU field goal, Arkansas had the chance to win the game, but was forced into kicking a game-tying field goal.

Kicker Alex Tejada lined up the kick from 36 yards, but missed it and LSU broke its two-year losing streak to the Razorbacks.

Alex Collins' 30 points scored against UT-Martin

Junior running back Alex Collins had one of his best games as a Razorback in 2015 against UT-Martin. The Fort Lauderdale, Florida, native ran the ball 16 times for 173 yards and a career-high five touchdowns.

The 10.8 yards per carry average was his highest mark of the season as Arkansas routed UT-Martin 63-28.
