Arkansas gained its 22nd addition of the 2017 class on Sunday when Little Rock (Ark.) Pulaski Robinson defensive end David Porter gave the word to Bret Bielema and the Hogs. Now it's time for a detailed breakdown of what his commitment means to the Razorbacks.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Over the last few weeks, Arkansas fans have been very vocal about the Razorbacks choosing not to offer instate players who were receiving offers from other notable Power-5 programs.
David Porter, who landed verbal offers from Texas and Baylor (in addition to Kansas State, Iowa State, Rutgers and others) was one that Hog fans were pulling for. From the fans' perspective, if Arkansas needs another defensive end/outside linebacker in this class and they're targeting JUCO prospects, why not take a chance on the highly-productive instate kid?
