The Arkansas Razorbacks announced the hiring of Dan Enos as their new offensive coordinator Thursday, and a few former and current players have weighed in on the hire.

Enos was most recently the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Maryland for the past two seasons, but Hog fans will remember him best for his stint at at Arkansas from 2015-17.

During that time, he engineered two of the best offenses in school history in back-to-back seasons in 2015 and 2016. Arkansas' offense in 2015 remains one of only three offenses in school history to surpass 6,000 yards, and Enos helped coach Razorback quarterback Brandon Allen to set three school records that year, including the career mark for touchdown passes with 64 and the single-game record for touchdown passes in a game with seven against Mississippi State.

With Pittman as the offensive line coach and Enos as the offensive coordinator, Arkansas' 2015 offense set the school record with 62 touchdowns, and it and averaged 35.9 points per game, while rushing for 2,565 yards and passing for 3,486 yards.

Here's how Pittman, Athletics Director Hunter Yurachek, current and former players felt about the hire:

Yurachek tweeted out the eyeball emojis after the official announcement was made that he and Pittman had their guy.

Pittman weighed in on Twitter, saying he is honored that Enos would want to be part of the University of Arkansas again.

Former Arkansas running back Rawleigh Williams III commented on Razorback Football's Instagram announcement of Enos with, "GREAT HIRE."

Williams played two seasons for Arkansas in 2015-16 before retiring in May of 2017 due to neurological injuries. Under the coaching of Enos, Williams was named to the Coaches SEC All-Freshman Team in 2015, and he was an AP All-SEC First Team selection as a sophomore in 2016 after he finished the season as the SEC regular season rushing champion with 1,360 rushing yards.

Current Arkansas quarterback Jacolby Criswell gave his thoughts. Criswell, a native of Morrilton, transferred in from North Carolina in December.

Former Arkansas wide receiver Drew Morgan, who played for the Hogs from 2013-16, chimed in saying the hire is "awesome."

Under the coaching of Enos, Morgan put his name in the record books with 65 receptions in 2016 (4th most single-season receptions in program history) and 63 in 2015 (5th most single-season receptions in program history). Morgan's 10 touchdowns during the 2015 season led the SEC that year and are tied for the 4th most single-season touchdown receptions in Arkansas history.

Morgan also posted three 100-yard receiving games in 2015, all three of which came on the road in SEC play.

Former Arkansas defensive tackle Bijhon Jackson said he likes the hire. Jackson spent the 2014-17 seasons in Fayetteville, three of which were spent with Enos on staff.

Former Arkansas running back and current Washington Commander Jonathan Williams said he loves the hire of Enos. Williams played for the Hogs from 2012-15, and he missed his lone season with Enos on staff due to a foot injury.

De'Jon "Scoota" Harris said injuries killed Enos' last run at Arkansas. Harris, who is also a Washington Commander, played linebacker for the Razorbacks from 2016-19, and Enos was on the staff for two of those seasons.

Former Hog running back Kody Walker played under Enos in 2015-16, and he quote tweeted the announcement on Thursday.

Walker ran for 394 yards and six scores during the 2015 season.
