Dime set to visit Fayetteville

Dozens of football prospects will be in Fayetteville for Arkansas' game against Northern Illinois this weekend, but Mike Anderson and the basketball staff also have a big recruiting weekend of their own.
JUCO forward Malik Dime of Indian Hills C.C. in Iowa is one of the Hogs' top targets for the Class of 2015 and is expected to arrive in Fayetteville at around 4-5 p.m. on Friday.

Dime, 6-10, 220, has high interest in the Razorbacks, Iowa State, Washington, Kansas and USC, and he's already visited the Cyclones, Jayhawks and Trojans.
Jerry Mullen, a former coach who is considered the nation's best among junior college scouts, has hosted Dime in his Top 100 camps and other tournament events over the last couple of years. He believes any team would be fortunate to land Dime, but thinks the big forward is a great fit for what Anderson likes to do on both ends of the floor.
"Love him," Mullen said. "He'd be a perfect player for the Razorbacks, and here's why: He's probably closer to 6-8, 6-9, but he's extremely long and a tremendous athlete. He plays well above the rim, and he's a superb shot blocker.
"The reason I think he'd be a great fit for them is, the more the game has opened up, the more effective he becomes if you're pressing or trapping. He can play the front or the back of the press, and he's a tremendous shot blocker."
Mullen will have Dime and Indian Hills in attendance for next month's 72-team JUCO Jamboree in Dallas (Texas). He said Dime scores a lot of his points simply by being an active player around the rim.
"He scores out of activity," Mullen said. "He scores around the rim some, but he's great at going to the offensive glass and tipping it back in. He's not a real accomplished offensive player, but the way they play he'll be able to score some just based on activity."
Mullen's Jamboree in Dallas will feature some of the nation's top JUCO programs, including Indian Hills and Jones (Miss.), who played in the NJCAA finals last season. Thirteen different states will be represented at the event, including the state of Arkansas as Arkansas Baptist in Little Rock will participate.
