How to Watch, BetSaracen Odds: Arkansas vs. San Jose State (Game 2)

FAYETTEVILLE — The No. 1 Arkansas Razorbacks (28-3, 11-1 SEC) will look to sweep the two-game midweek series against San Jose State (12-20, 7-8 Mountain West) on Wednesday at Baum-Walker Stadium after the Hogs managed to pick up a 5-1 victory over the Spartans on Tuesday evening.

First pitch for Wednesday's game was initially scheduled for 3 p.m. CT, but weather moved the start time up to 1 p.m. CT, head coach Dave Van Horn revealed Tuesday evening.

Arkansas had nine hits Tuesday compared to just two by the Spartans, both of which came against starting pitcher Ben Bybee, who threw five innings of one-run ball. The win marked the Hogs' 22nd straight at home.

"Hopefully we can keep it going," Van Horn said postgame. "These guys show up and they play. If we pitch good, and we field the ball pretty good, it’s been a good combination. Something like that, you can’t predict that, especially when you get into league play.

"It’s so hard to sweep anybody in league play. If you’re playing a midweek game, you know, you can win a game or two there, but when you get into league play, it’s tough. Just proud of our guys for getting after it. Playing hard, and it’s a good number."

The Razorbacks are set to start freshman lefty Colin Fisher on Wednesday against San Jose State. San Jose State has not announced a starting pitcher yet.

Arkansas owns a 3-0 overall series record against San Jose State. Prior to Tuesday, the two programs last met on the diamond in 1995, when the Razorbacks — led by legendary head coach Norm DeBriyn — defeated the Spartans twice in San Jose, California.
