New video display for DWRRS

The University of Arkansas athletic department has partnered with LSI Industries, Inc. to provide a new video display to the North end zone scoreboard inside Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. Built upon LSI's SMARTVISION® LED technology, the 16mm video display will be one of the biggest in college football. Measuring at nearly 38' x 167', nearly doubling the dimensions of the current video board, the display will give the stadium a true high definition video display area with the actual width exceeding HD resolution.
"We are excited to begin the installation of a new LSI video display at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium," said Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics Jeff Long. "The video board plays such an instrumental role in creating an exciting game day atmosphere and helping create a home field advantage. This new larger board utilizes some of the latest technology and will allow us to introduce new interactive features. The board will greatly enhance the game day experience for our fans."

The total cost of the project will be $4,633,194.12 and installation is underway to replace the current board, which was also provided by LSI 12 years ago. The cost will provide Razorback Stadium the new 16mm video display, which will achieve the highest definition standards based on its size. Additionally, four sections of 20mm fascia displays for use in the end zones, which complement the fascia LSI manufactured for the University in 2009. Also included in the project are new state-of-the-art LED stadium identification signs as well as new game clocks and play clocks on the north and south end of the stadium.
"We are extremely excited to continue our long standing relationship with the University of Arkansas and the tremendous fans at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium," said Ross Sferra, Director of LSI SMARTVISION LED Video Displays.
