The final piece of Arkansas' 2023 recruiting class has come into the fold, as four-star tight end Shamar Easter signed his letter of intent to play at Arkansas on Wednesday.

The Arkansas Football Twitter account made the announcement official on Wednesday morning. A signing ceremony will be held at Ashdown High School on Thursday after it was originally planned for Wednesday, but was pushed back due to inclement weather.

Easter, an Ashdown native, had initially held off on signing with Arkansas during the Early Signing Period after the departure of former tight ends coach Dowell Loggains, who left Arkansas to join South Carolina as its offensive coordinator.

The 6-foot-5, 215-pound pass catcher took an unofficial visit to Fayetteville in January, though, where he reaffirmed his college decision.

Ranked as the No. 193 player in the country and the No. 1 player in Arkansas for the class of 2023 according to Rivals, Easter chose Arkansas over a plethora of other programs, including Auburn, Tennessee, Texas A&M, LSU and others.

Easter joins an Arkansas recruiting class that finished ranked No. 20 in the nation, and includes a fellow four-star tight end in Luke Hasz.
