Arkansas has experienced a good deal of success at running back during the Bret Bielema regime...though last time out against Virginia Tech they fell short of expectations with 20 carries by running backs for just 36 yards - an average of just 1.8 yards per carry.

Now, was that on the running backs, the offensive front, the play-caller, the head coach or some combination of the aforementioned? As for on-field performance, the offensive line has to shoulder some of the blame, for sure. On Kody Walker's lone rushing attempt, a first drive third-and-1, he was dropped for a 1-yard loss. Arkansas struggled all year when they had to get a yard, and one of the hallmarks of Bielema ball has been 'we're going to run it with success even though you know it's coming.'

There are four backs to really watch this spring, junior Rawleigh Williams, sophomore Devwah Whaley, sophomore T.J. Hammonds and true freshman Maleek Williams. In preseason camp, true freshman Chase Hayden will also draw a lot of looks.
