The Razorbacks are in hot pursuit of Little Rock Parkview tight end Erin Outley–and they're not alone. Florida State and Oregon are also gunning for the must-get Arkansas target who included all three programs in his top 10 on June 1.
"My summer's been going pretty good," Outley said. "I've really just been working out, trying to stay safe from the virus. I'm working out 2-3 times a day. School started practice about like three weeks ago. We're looking good.
"Recruitment's been going good, still just building relationships with other coaches and ready to get to see what's on campus and stuff."
Outley, the No.3-ranked player in the state (and the most offered), would help Arkansas continue to haul in talented tight ends from within their borders while adding depth to a room currently lacking it.
"The staff's been great, I've been building a relationship with them and they've shown me a lot of love," Outley said. "Coach Cooper talks to me every week, we joke, we kid around, we talk about football, we have a great relationship with each other. We're getting to know each other a lot better.
"I talk to Coach Pittman every week too. We talk and kid around, just talk about me being a Hog. Coach Briles said I'd be a perfect fit for their scheme and what they're running."
