Arkansas head coach Chad Morris and Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn spoke to the SEC media on Wednesday afternoon to preview the matchup on Saturday, give the latest on their respective teams and chat a little about their longtime friendship.

Tidbits from Morris's time on the call:

-Morris reiterates he's disappointed that they can't win games despite being in a position to do it at the end of several of them. Says they've had a really good week of work and they're excited to be back at home in front of the fans with recruits on campus and honoring Darren McFadden.

-Gus is the reason Morris went into college coaching. He says Malzahn was the one who opened the door for high school football coaches to move up to the next level. They talk weekly and share ideas. Their friendship goes back to the early 2000s. Malzahn recommended Morris for his first college job at Tulsa.

-Morris repeats what he said Saturday after the game, everything's a possibility at this point at QB. "Yesterday was a very competitive day. The QBs are staying with the process and the battle has been healthy. Whoever we play and start, we're willing to take them out if it's not working and the guys are comfortable with that."

-Morris thinks they did a really good job of limiting Auburn on big plays in 2018 and they did a good job of getting the defense off the field on third down. Arkansas lost 34-3.
