Dameron is a former Arkansas wide receiver and defensive back who actually began his coaching career as a graduate assistant for Lou Holtz in 1983. His background as a coach is on the defensive side of the ball.

Parr is entering his first season as Eastern Illinois’ offensive coordinator. He held the same position at Navarro J.C. in Texas the last three years, running the “Air Raid” system he learned as a quality control coach for Tommy Tuberville at Texas Tech from 2010-2012. Prior to that, Parr was a successful offensive coordinator at West Texas A&M, which consistently had one of the top offenses in Division II.
