Tipoff time has yet to be determined, and the game will be aired on one of the ESPN family of networks. The event spans three days and features 12 games.
The event was initially called the SEC/Big East Invitational from 2007-10 when it featured just two teams from each conference. Last year it went to six teams from each conference and 'Challenge' replaced 'Invitational.'
On Dec. 3, 2011, Arkansas faced Connecticut in Hartford (Conn.) in front of 14,333 in attendance, and the game was aired on ESPN. The Razorbacks fell to the Huskies 75-62.
Syracuse, ranked as high as No. 3 in the country at the time, hosted and defeated No. 9 Florida 72-68 last season.
The Big East also won the event in 2007 (3-1) while the SEC outperformed the Big East (3-1). The conferences tied in 2008 (2-2) and 2009 (2-2).
