In-State QB Jacolby Criswell Says He's Blown Away by Arkansas Recruitment

It was a visitor-packed weekend on the Hill and no one was more excited to be there than in-state 2020 quarterback Jacolby Criswell. Criswell is one of the best dual-threat quarterbacks in the state and a could be a sure thing for the Razorbacks but the staff held out on an offer...and he didn't even mind.

"Their coaching staff is heavy on relationships and they're straight up with you," Criswell said. "I was blown away with everything they said because it was right on the dot. Coach Craddock doesn’t seem like he just talks and tells you what all recruits want to hear. I feel like with everything he told me it was true. I’m looking forward to seeing them again."

Criswell has four offers right now, none from a power five school. He's got Memphis, South Alabama, Central Arkansas and Arkansas State so far so his recruitment is just getting started.

"They don’t want me to get lost once they offer," Criswell said. "Since I have a lot of schools looking at me, when they offer, those schools will start to jump on board."

With Criswell just living a few hours away from Fayetteville in Morrilton, Arkansas, he's got a better chance to get to know and build relationships with coaches than most prospects and he says he'll be back soon.

"They’ve seen me at camps and they came during evaluation and saw me throw but I’m pretty sure I’ll be going to the elite QB/WR camp at Arkansas," Criswell says.

Arkansas has offers out to six quarterbacks right now, none from within the state.

"I hope they offer pretty soon because Georgia wants me a lot, but I want Arkansas to be my first SEC offer."

According to his MaxPreps, Criswell racked up 162 yards per game as a sophomore for a total of 1,947 yards and 20 touchdowns with just four picks. He also ran for 969 yards and 18 scores. A true dual-threat.
