FAYETTEVILLE — As of Monday afternoon, all systems are a go for Arkansas’ game at Missouri this weekend.
After playing LSU with only 56 available scholarship players on Nov. 21, the Razorbacks dipped below the SEC’s 53-man threshold last week and had to postpone their trip to Columbia, Mo.
The conference has since shuffled the schedule around and now the two teams are set to play at 11 a.m. CT Saturday. Head coach Sam Pittman said he expects the players who were out because of COVID-19 protocols to be back this week.
“We anticipate having a close to full roster,” Pittman said. “Our testing went well yesterday and between injuries that we had and the COVID, we feel like we’re going to be pretty close to full speed.”
Defensive line was the hardest hit position, with six of the Razorbacks top eight linemen - Julius Coates, Dorian Gerald, Eric Gregory, Xavier Kelly, Isaiah Nichols and Zach Williams - absent against LSU.
"We think we're going to be able to get them all back," Pittman said. "We have two more tests, but assuming all of that goes well. And I think that's big. Obviously we need more size on the field and things of that nature."
