According to a report by Auburn beat writer Brandon Marcello, Gus Malzahn has agreed to terms with Auburn and will not be the next head coach at Arkansas.

This report follows Malzahn's Peach Bowl Teleconference less than an hour before this report. Media members were asked to stop asking Auburn coach Gus Malzahn questions about the possibility of accepting an offer to coach at Arkansas during Sunday's Peach Bowl Teleconference.

“I’m planning on being at Auburn. I told you last night that is where I wanted to be. Nothing has changed," Malzahn said.

One longtime Arkansas sports writer, Bob Holt, who seemingly never runs out of questions, was cut off by the moderator.

Malzahn still did not answer the initial question by saying he will be the head coach at Auburn, only that he wants to be, or in this case that he is "planning" to be. When that question is answered in a will, reporters and fans will stop asking.

Arkansas is now expected to turn in the direction of Memphis' Mike Norvell or SMU's Chad Morris.

The No. 7 Tigers play No. 10 UCF on Jan. 1 at 11:30 a.m.
