If December is the new February, April is the new September.
A couple of major rule changes in 2017 allowed high school prospects to sign with the school of their choice a week before Christmas. With the signing process sped up, the time frame for official visits had to be changed, too.
Now recruits can start taking their official visits between the months of April and June. While some head coaches have gone on record to say they're going to pass on the early visits for various reasons, Chad Morris and the Razorbacks plan to take full advantage of the opportunity beginning this weekend.
"Regardless of whether I like it or not, we're having it," Morris said. “With the early signing period now, I think it’s almost you have to have it. So you’ll see us having one-to-two in April, we’ll have one in May and we’ll have one in June.
"You have to. Guys are making decisions earlier now, before their senior season, we've got to have a chance to get them on campus."
Four targets, including one who has already pledged to the Razorbacks, will make their way to Fayetteville on Friday. The group consists of four-star defensive end Collin Clay, Arkansas o-line commitment Beaux Limmer, and two other massive offensive linemen in Joseph Stone and Trevor Roberson.
