Mason flips commitment to Arkansas
Hoops: Five things to know about Georgia
Independent (Kan.) Community College running back Rakeem Boyd has committed to Arkansas.
Boyd, 5-11, 200 pounds, was a 4-star running back prospect out of Houston Stratford in 2016 when he signed with Texas A&M. Before that, he rushed for 6,436 yards and 80 touchdowns in his high school career.
He left Texas A&M due to academics when it was reported he dropped too many classes to remain eligible. Boyd took an official visit to Fayetteville over the weekend.
"I was at A&M for a year so I've already seen them. They have a lot of bigger things at Arkansas," Boyd said after his visit. "I was shocked. I'm just saying the training room and stuff like that, and maybe the academic building, the learning center.

Boyd initially said he would take a little more time to make a decision, but apparently he had a good night's sleep on it.
Boyd was scheduled to take official visits to Colorado and Arizona State but now will not make those trips. Boyd strongly considered Arkansas when he was being recruited for the 2016 class under the previous staff.
