Razorback Career
After redshirting his first year on campus and then not appearing in a game his second year, Jack Lindsey found his way on the field by becoming the Razorbacks’ holder on special teams.
In that role, he appeared in 11 games during the 2018 season, with the lone game he missed being a shutout at Missouri - meaning his services weren’t required. Lindsey played 46 snaps as the holder that year.
Last season, Lindsey was put on scholarship and once again served as the Razorbacks’ holder = notching 51 snaps in that role - but he actually saw action at quarterback. With Barry Lunney Jr. serving as the interim head coach, Lindsey came off the bench in the fourth quarter of a blowout loss at LSU and completed 3 of 4 passes for 51 yards - including a 24-yard touchdown to Mike Woods - and ripped off a 30-yard run.
Continuing the epic quarterback carousel at Arkansas last season, he became the fifth different starting quarterback in five weeks when he got the nod in the finale against Missouri. Although he had a 19-yard touchdown pass to Trey Knox to give the Razorbacks their first lead in a month and a half, Lindsey finished the game just 10 of 26 for 75 yards and two scores. He did have four carries for 50 yards, though.
Granted it was on only 75 offensive snaps, but Lindsey earned a 73.9 grade from Pro Football Focus, making him easily the highest graded of the five quarterbacks. That also ranked third among Arkansas’ offensive players.
