The University of Arkansas has announced the dismissal of senior forward Dustin Thomas from the basketball team.

“Senior forward Dustin Thomas has been dismissed from the team effective immediately for a violation of team rules," Arkansas coach Mike Anderson stated in a release. "It is a privilege to represent the University of Arkansas as a student-athlete. We will continue to hold the student-athletes in our program to a high standard on and off the court.”

Thomas was involved in a counterfeiting ordeal prior to last season, along with senior guard Anton Beard and Jacorey Williams who was dismissed at the time. Twice during the 2017-18 season, Thomas did not play due to a 'coaches decision,' despite being a starter in 17 games this season. He was also suspended to start the season.

Thomas' suspension comes at a critical time for the Razorbacks as the Hogs are set to play in the second round of the SEC Tournament on Thursday at 1 p.m. in St. Louis. Thomas originally joined the team from Colorado.
