Arkansas just wrapped up the second practice of spring drills under new head coach Chad Morris, and he continued to express his can-do attitude, his up-tempo philosophy and the relentless focus on recruiting.

The Razorbacks were in full gear Saturday on the practice fields outside the Fred W. Smith Center under sunny skies and temperature in the low 60s. But there was a little bit of a sluggish start to practice before things picked up, Morris said.

“Sometimes you've got to act different than you feel. So, hey, there may be days I don't feel like giving it out there but I'm going to. That's just who we are,” Morris said. “I'm a high energy guy. I love being around out there. I love getting to know people and I love coaching football. It takes zero talent to give energy and hustle. That's all we ask.”

In addition to tempo and attitude, everything they do has a focus in recruiting. Even in his post-practice press conference, he was talking to recruits who might be watching.

“It’s just about right now being where our feet are and maximizing this moment right now,” Morris said. “There’s some recruit out there watching right now, and he either wants to be a part of something popular or he wants to go somewhere and make something popular. One of the two, that’s what we deal with in recruiting.
