We're a week from the start of the early signing period, so this week's 3-2-1 is all about Arkansas' football class of 2018.
THREE THINGS WE'VE LEARNED
1. Morris was serious about the footprint
In his introductory press conference last Thursday, new Arkansas head coach Chad Morris made it clear that he planned to make Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana his top priorities in recruiting.
The Hogs haven't yet hit the Pelican State, but of the 14 new offers we've confirmed under Morris so far, all 14 of them have been to prospects in Arkansas, Texas or Oklahoma.
Going a step further, ten of them were in the Lone Star State, three were in Oklahoma (and all three have come in the last 48 hours), and one went to an in-state target in Fordyce defensive tackle Billy Ferrell. One could argue that Morris has to re-offer Ashdown cornerback Ladarrius Bishop, but technically he already held an offer from the Razorbacks prior to Morris' arrival.
Anyway, we've also learned that Morris and his staff are swinging for the fences with a lot of these new offers in Texas and Oklahoma, as six of the 14 confirmed offers have four-star ratings by Rivals.com.
Evidently he's impressed by the Sooners' recruiting efforts, too, as he's already offered a total of four OU commits (three for 2018 and one for 2020).
