-Austin Cantrell has trimmed down to 255 from near 270 last year, so that has helped him in the passing game. Barry Lunney Jr. said it hasn't hurt his blocking at all and said he could probably block at 210 pounds.

-They've been pleased with the progress of Jeremy Patton, and they're going to find out if he's game ready soon. The coaches at Arizona Western told Lunney that Patton has as high of a football IQ as any player they've had there.
