Razorback coaches offer the latest following Thursday's practice
Wide receiver is still rather jumbled with several players competing to not only be the second receiver in with Jared Cornelius, but also the third, fourth, fifth and sixth receiver. Cornelius was going to play as much as he wanted in the last scrimmage and then they were going to take him out.
Cornelius has been bothered by a nagging hamstring but was slated to be pulled back about this time anyway. It would be big for the Hogs if they could keep Cornelius healthy this season. In 2015 he missed a chunk of the season with a broken arm, and last year he had a back injury and only had three good games, which all came back-to-back against Texas A&M, Alcorn State and Alabama. He had over 100 receiving yards in each of those games.
"Right now we're just taking it slow. We don't want to set him back any. Matt [Summers] and his guys are doing a great job with him. He did a little bit of work earlier in practice today but nothing strenuous because we want to make sure he's healthy going into the summer."
