Preseason camp is over, and in addition to starting classes this week the players will get a jump on how to go through game week preparation while changing focus to the season opener against Florida A&M next Thursday.
Arkansas has put together scout teams to show FAMU looks (a lot of read option with some tempo and a mobile quarterback on offense), but on Tuesday they took things a little slow.
“It’s time for game prep now. First day of practice, we’re just really focusing on FAMU starting out,” safety and team captain Santos Ramirez said. “Going through things kind of slow right now, trying to get the hang of it, then we’re going to pick it up probably tomorrow and start getting game speed.”
Brown finally with the team
Arkansas welcomed true freshman scholarship player Montaric Brown on Monday. Brown had been awaiting clearance from the NCAA after working to gain eligibility over the summer. He is a four-star recruit who seemed like a good bet to play before the delay. He may still play…
