Hogs go light on Tuesday, eyeing strong finish to spring
The NCAA requires teams to practice in helmets only for a certain amount of spring drills, so Day 10 was a lighter one for the Razorbacks on Tuesday.
After going through a 138-play scrimmage on Saturday, the Hogs weren't going to argue with a bit of a break.
"It was more of a learning day instead of a physical day," Karl Roesler said. "We got our legs underneath us. That was the longest scrimmage I think he's planning on having, so I think he was trying to take a little bit off of us."
Junior tight end Jack Kraus said Tuesday's practice went smoothly, but the defense did come away with a couple of timely plays toward the end of practice
"Nate Dalton had a pick in the red zone," linebacker Randy Ramsey said, "and I had a sack in the 2-minute drill."
Last Saturday's scrimmage was the longest one Arkansas will have this spring. The Hogs won't scrimmage this weekend but will still hold a Saturday practice one week ahead of the Red-White spring game on April 29.
